One More Week!

Next Friday morning we leave the marina for Half Moon Bay and the start of our journey.  We are very excited about leaving, but also sad to say goodbye to our family and friends. But we will keep in touch.

Last week-end all the kids came to the boat and we took pictures at Baker Beach near the Golden Gate. These are the ones we can take and when we get back we'll compare how much the kids have grown. Here are a few.

Getting Ready!! 2 months until Cast off

200' + of new anchor chain. Check
2 new anchors. Check
Water Maker installed. Check
Single Side Band almost installed. Getting there.
Final haul out scheduled for July 19th.

We are still on schedule to leave Labor Day Week-end. The plan is to join the festivities at Half Moon Bay and head south from there soon after Labor Day. Rick is in his last month of work which is making him a little nervous. But I'm sure being on the boat the month of August will calm him down.

We did it!!! We signed up for the Baja Ha Ha 17!!! We are moving aboard Hotel California the end of May, at least part time. We'll still spead some time at the house while Rick is working. Rick's last day of work is July 30, 2010. The current plan is to spend Labor Day Weed-end at Half Moon Bay and head south from there. We hope to be in Catalina the first week-end of October for the Jazz Festival and from there sail down to San Diego for the start of the Ha Ha rally on October 25.

We are seriously getting the boat ready to set sail to places south. This week-end is the boat show at Jack London Square in Oakland. We are going 2 days and plan to purchase many much needed items. On our list is anchor chain, water maker, inflatable fenders, hatch covers and many more things.
We have been busy recently adding an upgraded alternator, solar panels, chart plotter and a xantrex meter.
